As an important equipment in modern industrial production, the debugging work of dispensing machines directly affects production efficiency and product quality. Before starting debugging, sufficient preparation work must be done.

1、 Preparation work before debugging
As an important equipment in modern industrial production, the debugging work of dispensing machines directly affects production efficiency and product quality. Before starting debugging, sufficient preparation work must be done.
Firstly, check the integrity of the equipment. Confirm that all components of the dispensing machine (including control system, glue supply system, dispensing valve, motion mechanism, etc.) are installed in place without any missing or loose parts. Check if all connecting lines are properly connected, especially the gas and electrical connections. Secondly, prepare the appropriate adhesive. Select adhesive with viscosity and curing characteristics that match the product requirements, and ensure that the adhesive is within its shelf life and meets the required storage conditions. Finally, prepare debugging tools. Including basic tools such as timers, calipers, electronic scales, cleaning cloths, as well as specialized debugging tools provided by the manufacturer.
2、 Mechanical debugging
The debugging of the mechanical part is the foundation for the stable operation of the dispensing machine. The first step is horizontal calibration, using a spirit level to adjust the equipment base to ensure overall levelness, which is crucial for dispensing accuracy. The second step is to debug the motion mechanism, checking whether the X, Y, and Z axes move smoothly without any jamming, and whether the limit switch works normally. Test whether the motion range of each axis meets the requirements through manual mode.
Next is the height adjustment of the dispensing head. According to the thickness of the product, set the appropriate height of the dispensing head, generally recommended to be 2-5mm away from the surface of the product (the specific value needs to be adjusted according to the characteristics of the adhesive and process requirements). Simultaneously check the perpendicularity between the dispensing head and the workbench to ensure the correct dispensing angle.
3、 Adjustment of air pressure and adhesive output
Pressure regulation is one of the core components of dispensing machine debugging. Firstly, set the basic air pressure value, usually 0.2-0.6MPa (adjusted according to the viscosity and dispensing volume requirements of the glue). By testing the adhesive, observe the shape and size of the adhesive points, and gradually adjust the air pressure to the ideal state.
The debugging of dispensing volume requires attention to three key parameters: dispensing time, suction time, and dispensing frequency. The dispensing time determines the amount of glue to be dispensed in a single operation, which can be set to 50-100ms at the beginning and adjusted according to the actual effect. The suction time affects the drawing condition of the glue, usually set to 20-50ms. The dispensing frequency should match the production line speed to avoid leakage or uneven glue volume caused by improper frequency.
During the debugging process, it is recommended to use an electronic scale to weigh the total amount of dispensing for a fixed number of times (such as 100 times), calculate the single dispensing amount, and ensure compliance with process requirements. Simultaneously observe the diameter and height of the adhesive point, measure and record the data using a caliper.
4、 Motion trajectory and programming debugging
After completing the basic parameter settings, it is necessary to debug the motion trajectory. Firstly, set the appropriate movement speed, usually starting at 50-100mm/s, and gradually adjust according to the characteristics of the adhesive. Too fast speed may cause deformation of the adhesive points, while too slow speed can affect production efficiency.
Pay attention to the following points when programming: path optimization to reduce idle travel time; Set appropriate delay at the starting and ending points to ensure stable adhesive volume; Reduce speed at corners to ensure even glue lines; Set a reasonable pen lifting height to avoid collisions. For complex graphics, it is recommended to debug in sections and gradually verify the dispensing effect of each path.
5、 Common problem troubleshooting and optimization
Common problems during the debugging process include: inconsistent size of adhesive dots (checking for air pressure stability and whether there are bubbles in the adhesive); Wire drawing phenomenon (adjusting suction time and air pressure); Insufficient initial adhesive amount (increase pre dispensing time or set priming function); Position deviation (recalibrate mechanical origin).
Optimization suggestion: Establish a debugging record table to record the parameters and effects of each adjustment; Regularly check the status of vulnerable parts (such as dispensing needles and sealing rings); Maintain stable environmental temperature, especially for temperature sensitive adhesives; Set up regular automatic cleaning programs to prevent glue from solidifying and clogging.
Through a systematic debugging process, it is possible to ensure that the dispensing machine reaches its optimal working state, laying the foundation for high-quality production. After debugging is completed, it is recommended to conduct small-scale trial production to fully verify the stability of the equipment before putting it into formal production.
